37 Weeks + 6 Days
I decided to head out again this morning to get my daughter used to the idea of me not being at the house at all times and at certain hours of the day. I decided this to help her for when I am at the hospital delivering, plus with both grandmas she has a pretty good support system. I decided to check the dollar tree again to see if they had in fact restocked the item or not. When I walked in I did not see anything on the shelves and I was upset and discouraged to even ask about the decoration but I went ahead and asked one of the employees that was there that morning. To my surprise she was extremely nice and helped me as best she could. She told me she would check the go backs to see if she had any from the day before.
Keep in mind I went in twice the day before to see if they had restocked and then then I was told that the truck had not come in yet and they didn’t know when it would but that yesterday was the day for restocking. She had checked the go backs and I was lucky enough to get another color that I was missing! Now I’m only on the hunt for one of the items and really hope I can find it. I decided to also check a Daiso near me and they had the CUTEST things. I was amazed, I made my purchases and headed home before my doctors appointment.
I spent some time with my daughter before I had to leave again, but was happy to see that she was not upset or missing me to the point of being super upset. I had lunch and then cleaned the toilets before I had to leave again. I asked for a kiss from my daughter and she hugged me and gave me a kiss. It’s the cutest thing ever and warms my heart so very much. I was to discuss my most recent results from the GBS test and also some things about my labor and delivery.
If you don’t know yet I was actually positive this pregnancy for the GBS (Group B Strep) this is a bacteria that is present in the body naturally. This can happen with anyone and is not harmful to you, but poses potential harm for your infant if not treated properly. Once you receive proper antibiotics when in labor the chances of anything happening are slim. So we discussed the fact that I was positive and the potential harm or outcome and as I mentioned before this is something anyone could have at any time and not know about it. It is not a sexually transmitted bacteria, it just naturally occurs in the intestines and once it is colonized in the vaginal area it could be harmful for baby if not monitored or treated properly.
I also had some questions about a breast pump because I was looking into getting the Medela Symphony pump but it is very pricey. I was trying to see if I could get one through insurance or through prescription somehow but after doing some research I don’t think it’s possible. I would have to buy it completely out of pocket or second hand. I’m still looking into it but if not I will probably end up going with Spectra. So far we are still on schedule to induce on September 30th if I don’t go into labor before that. After this I had to walk over to get the NST done. They did a quick ultrasound to measure the amniotic fluid levels and check that baby is moving okay and breathing ok. The NST is a Non stress test to see if your babies movements are consistent and to monitor your contractions.
