35 Weeks + 6 Days
I had my second NST monitoring at the FDU (Fetal Diagnostics Unit) today. The appointment always starts off with a fluid check. My fluid levels are good and baby girl is practicing her breathing by hiccuping and moving a lot which I was told is an indication of a good placenta. Baby is also still head down which is great. I don’t think she will move at this point considering I have Uterus Didelphys (Double Uterus).
She moves so much and loves kicking into my ribs! Every NST (Non Stress Test) takes about 20 min each visit. Unless there is something that appears abnormal they will keep you on longer. Everything went great at my visit today, and then I was set to see my OB directly after. I ran about 10-15 min late to my appointment and it set me back about an hour! My vitals were good and my current weight is 135lbs. I noticed the hospital is a bit busier than it had been in the previous months.
I was waiting to see my OB and had no idea what the visit was for this time. When I finally got into a room, I was told I would be swabbed for the GBS (Group B Strep). I was asked to undress from the waist down and then the doctor would be in. I got undressed and I was waiting there for about an hour. Luckily I only needed to be swabbed for that and then that was it. Babies heartbeat had already been monitored prior during the NST so there wasn’t much left to discuss other than my remaining concerns about my birth and then my induction date! If I make it passed 37 weeks I will be getting induced September 30th.
